Ok, so if I have the RAM set up like this it is definatley overclocked ?
I don't know too much about overclocking, but I am aware that underclocking the RAM can help push a CPU a little farther.

What do you guys think.
I would SERIOUSLY recommend going with a 5000BE instead. I just bought one for $70 and I know I'll be able to reach 3.2ghz easily which are the stock clocks of a 6400. I'm pretty sure that the 6400 is on 90nm and that is the main reason it was so hard to overclock because it heats up quickly. The 5000BE is 65nm and runs a lot cooler.

I just bought my wife an AMD 64 X2 6000 and for the price it is a sweet deal to hold me over until Nehalem drops.

65nm X2 K10 Kuma CPU's should be out in Q1 2009, for AM2+ and AM3 mobos

these are basically X2 Phenoms

in my opinion you should get 5000+ BE, oc it to 3ghz or more (if you lucky) and enjoy the card.

Also i would get 2x 4870 instead of 280
