Test Specs:

* Each module pair is tested together at 2133MHz
* Packaged together immediately following system test
* Tested together at 2133MHz, Vdimm = 2.0V, at latency settings of
9-9-9-24 on NVIDIA 790i-based motherboards with a dual core CPU
* Must use sockets DIMM A2 and B2 (”black sockets”) to achieve this performance
* SPD programmed at: JEDEC standard

"I'd like to see the difference between this RAM and standard 800MHz DDR2. I bet in most circumstances there would be little benifit. I'm thinking primarily of games."

I'm sure with the right 790i Ultra board, you could overclock regular 2000 MHz DDR3 to the speed of these. Would save you a couple hundred bucks

With current chipsets running dual channel you're right, probably on par with good OCing DDR2/800MHz, although just wait for Bloomfield's integrated tri-channel controller. I'm sure that tri-channel DDR3 is going to blow the doors off DDR2.

Lovely...However is there any real benefit from that kind of speed ?. Without any proof I am willing to bet that there is little to no difference to notice.
