E7200 or Q6600

Is Quad the way to go?

65 dollar price difference

Don't really want to go E8400 since E7200 overclocked is a better bang for the buck...

Definately Q6600 more versatile ,essentially 2 e7200 on one chip, except for temps and volts.

If you're into gaming get E7200 and If you're into movie encoding and Folding@Home then get Q6600.

Q6600. It's not that much more and WAY more future proof.

Who needs to go much past 3.2 anyways

What does future proof mean?

Won't Nehalem processors smoke it anyways >_>

I do game, but I don't play games that require a good CPU/Graphics card.

I have both. The 7200 OC's far higher/easier than the Quad.
If you're a benchmark whore go quad, if gamer go 7200 or
wait till the E5200 is released @ $80 next month.

Even if you are into gaming, the Q6600 is more than enough. Guys here are running 3.4 comfortably on air and some even 3.6. Also its alot more future proof for when many games start becoming multithreaded for quads.

Nobody really knows how much nehalem will cost or how it will be marketed yet. It may take a while to become an affordable solution.
