I recently received this game, and I have to say, I'm not too impressed with the game. I know it's been out for a while, but compared to Crysis and some other games, graphics are iffy, and the gameplay is just eh. I like the fact that you can steel items and what-not, but IDK, it just seems EH.

Can anyone comment on this? I would love to LOVE this game! Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

EDIT: I just found this post!

I will try this later tonight if I have time.

How far are you into the game? It starts to pick up once you get out of Cordon.

OL2 is a good place to start. Here's a good site with a bunch of mods you can browse: http://stalker.filefront.com/files/S...gleplayer;3788. One of my favorite overhaul mods is Inferno and we've been waiting on a version 2 for a while but were are still stuck with 1.4 betas. You can give it a try, it changes a lot of things about the game so you may not want to do it the first time through (stick with Oblivion Lost 2 for now): http://board.oblivion-lost.de/showpo...postcount=1240 There's a read me in the download with all the details. *edit* If you do decide to use Inferno, try not to use the portals since they can crash the game (that's why there's the need for a version 2). Ignoring the portals, it adds a lot of fun stuff to the game. */edit* Here's a link to OL2: http://stalker.filefront.com/file/Oblivion_Lost;89584. If you want to cheat, the endurance mod is a good place to start (changes your max carry weight). It's much more handy to carry around everything you want than to have to choose what to take.

thank you, that was the answer i was looking for.

played stalker when it showed up with my integrated gpu, almost finished the game now with improved rig i want to give it another spin.

i see that here alot of people are talking about crysis and comparing these two games.

crysis is **** and boring game, even if it runs great for me its still boring, unnistal after one hour, stalker on the other hand has much much more better atmosphere.
