It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words:

I've also seen other E2xxx series with some impressive overclocks.
You can also try this thread. Hope it helps!

Cheers

Its known as the budget overclocker, it will overclock nicely with the right setup and the right chip, although you might not get as much performance as you would with your e6xxx series chip overclocked to the same clock speed. The best part about them is that you can get a decent overclock for cheap, there have been some people to get them at 4ghz but 3.7 is generally the norm for upper end clocks. 3.0 is easily achieved on air with the right board.

I took my e2180 to 2.7, just by raising the fsb to 1066.. with the stock fan and heat sink.. I pretty sure I can push it higher, but im not sure how much my board will take.. I would like to bring it to 3.0, but I dont know how.. I used a foxconn mobo, which have an overclock section in the bios..

I think I will try for 3.0 tonite

Why are you selling this and downgrading?

Heck yeah it is. Easily got my old 2180 running at 3.0GHz and it ran quite cool as well.
