pencil mod???? does it

So when i do the Pencil Mod to my p5E is that supposed to make CPU-Z see the right volts cause cpu-z says 1.352 underload 1.36 idle but in bios i have it set at 1.3875 , i did the pencil mod also so whats the point in the pencil mod i msut of read it wrong i thought it show right volt in cpuz?

The pencil mod is to stop vdroop

When you do a pencil mod you must test it to see how much different your vdroop is. It usually takes a few times to get it right. And CPUz reads what your CPU voltage is in Windows, the pencil mod doesn't make CPUz do anything.

Yes, the above person is right. Pencil mods do lower/eliminate your Vdroop however you have to muck about with different voltages to get the value to a minimum.

1.36 to 1.352 = .08 vdroop which isnt that bad... as posted above, What was it prior to mod?

Mine was 1.4875 bios - 1.46 idle - 1.41 load
Now with mod its 1.46 bios - 1.43 idle - 1.41 load

So it doesnt totally get rid of it, but does help alot
