Still don't have the last 8800 folding yet as I forgot I 'borrowed' the CPU mounting kit from the particular rig I was going to put it into..
You were a tough one to catch! A good workout for sure!

I'm sure you'll get everything figured out and running smooth soon, then you can pass me back.

1. I did not put my name in the drawing, it will be there if I'm in the top 20(25). What I didn't do is withdraw.
2. Technically speaking, I'm not 'hosing' anyone/anything. If I withdraw, 1 person has a chance at the prize that wouldn't have. My way, 20 people still have a chance at the prize.
3. How is it delaying delivery? I simply ask the most generous cognoscenti to ship it to "whoever" instead of me. If, for whatever reason she wouldn't do that, I will priority mail it myself.
The spirit and intent of the gesture was to provide the "2nd 20" a chance.
Just seems pointless, unless self gratification and praise is what your after...A chance for someone to say "Oh, thankyou, Lilratt for generously giving your unwanted prize."

But, i guess everyone on the list, that did not withdraw has a chance.

Last night I pretty much sealed my fate for this competition.

I went to install my 2 brand new GTS' and my motherboard decided to poop on me. Long story short, it reset my ram voltages to 1.8v. I took me a lot of forum hoping to finally figure it out and I was way to tired to continue.

Now, I was down for 10 hours but I still have 5 days. Hopefully 12k+ ppd will get my back in the top 20...once I finally get all this up and running.

It's not that he doesn't want it, its just that he doesn't need it. But, if he just drops out, someone in the top 20 would get it. This way, the next 20 would get it, who would need it more than the top 20.

what he is doing just makes more people try to win it than would otherwise meaning more production.

Uh, yeah..thats my point exactly.

..Dont need it
...Dont want it
....Just gonna give it away again = Why even compete?

If he drops out, the list will be the same..just with one less person, and better odds.

ROFL @ that! Any one producing, close to his PPD has already dropped themselves out of the race. I dont think anyone on OCN [currently still in the running] is attempting to 'catch up' to Lilratt or his farm.

First of all... if he drops out, then the person currently in 26'th would be added. It will always be 20 people no matter how many drop out.

Secondly, the people that are 27 through 46 would get entered into a new drawing for it if Lilratt wins. People that would not even be close to the top 20 in the first place.

exactly why he is doing it... they don't have to catch up... they only have to be in the top 40 now to possibly win.

Wow, I guess I need more coffee, before attempting to understand things this early on a Saturday.

Thanks for breaking it down for me.. I think I understand the way this is working now. :O

Thank you for the free analysis, Dr. Freud.
After telling you the reason, you felt the necessity to delve deep into my psyche and come up with "Just seems pointless, unless self gratification and praise is what your after."
Should I need additional treatment, I'll inquire as to your availability
