You're welcome. Also don't rush and buy now. Wait till more people give comments.

Hmm, I have to get rid of some things because I'm over my $500 budget.

I'm going to knock off the cpu cooler since the CPU itself comes with a half decent cooler that people have used to go up yo 3.0ghz safely -- I'll keep the case off the pc if I have to, I really don't care I'm also going to knock off the sound card, the sound quality doesn't have to be *perfect*. I'll live on on-board audio. My 5.1 system will allow me to do what I want.

Ick, a P43? I heard those were awful. Pick up a P35-DS3L. Its a proven overclocker and is around that same price range.

The one at Ewiz is OEM, i.e. it does not include a cooler.
If you ditch the sound card (for now at least), you will be within the budget.

Awful in which aspects?

Here's a review on the board:

I read reviews on the P43 and it's a proven out-of-the-box OCer with the CPU I'm going to be using. Also, the P43 has a little more functionality.. and it's a cheaper. Though I've never used any of them, so please feel free to argue a point. I want to get whichever is going to guarantee a stable OC to 3.0ghz.

Ditched the sound card, kept the cooler. I'll get a sound card later on down the road.

If you want to save more, you can ditch the video card and buy a G33 motherboard. It will still overclock well.

You might want to consider a decent audio card if you plan on recording. The on board audio gets a bit noisy when recording line level in, i.e. external instruments. They are mostly built for output for gaming and movies. You could also get an audio interface the has multiple inputs and out puts. Also, what about monitors?

It is allowed...

they are built for output and he is using it for recording
(input). They can and will get noisy and even more so when adding stress to the mobo overclocking it.
