Alright, I was just giving you a heads up bud. Personally, I am waiting on windows 7 but I will try out 64bit vista to see if it can do any better for me. Though my gaming/sig rig is a Xp 32bit.

Not to double post but I need to bump this thing up so I can get some reviews on the rig. This thread was from a while back but I ended up not building the rig and decided to put it off until after Christmas. Since it's after Christmas now, I want to do one last revision before I build this sucker. Luckily some of the prices on the hardware I had picked back when I started this thread has dropped drastically, which is awesome.

Anyway -- how's the setup look? Still alright?

Meh, I may keep what I have since it's cheaper. I can put the extra money towards extremities such as keyboard, mouse, sound system, monitor.

Here's my suggestions:

To save a few bucks get the LG dvd burner.
LG Sata dvd burner, $21.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136152

A better hard drive would be the Western Digital
Western Digital 320gb SATA hard drive, $54,99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136074

If you're planning on overclocking that Q6600 cpu later then get a better cpu cooler than that Rosewill one you posted.

If your case can fit a Xigamtek 1283 cpu cooler then buy that for $36.99.
After a MIR cost will be $26.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233003

Buy the retention bracket as well for $8.49
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233019

Of if your case can't fit the Xigmatek then buy a Cooler Master GeminII cpu cooler.
COOLER MASTER Series GeminII S CPU Cooler, $37.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103046
