You do realize that liquid helium is around -270C? If only OCer can get their hands on that! If you want extreme of the extreme, you need a laser/magnetic well to get helium to around -273C (near absolute zero). I believe this was done before a few years back and that got a microchip running really fast.

Freon is restricted now. A few other refrigerants are used. Most require a license for use (or face a $10K+ fine). I believe propane is a legal for anyone to use though. However, a leak can cause an explosion. R134a, R1270, and R152a are other examples.

Those numbers sound familiar. I think I use R134a refrigerant in my Jeep's air conditioning lines
