750i FTW Help!?!?

Thread Starter
So I just got a 750i FTW motherboard and for some reason, I cannot install Vista 64-Bit on my hard drive, but i can install vista 32-Bit. Do I need to have less than 4gb of ram installed when i do it or what? I just updated the bios to the SZ1F and I don't know what is the problem....

Any help1!??!

Some nvidia boards are picky and will want you to run with just two gig Windows install.

Take out a couple sticks

the only thing is that the last time i put them in after the install, it would keep bsod'ing.

When you put the other sticks back in and you continue to get BSOD's. One of the sticks can can bad. You should run a memtest

Everythings fine now. I had to get SP1 and a hotfix and then it was set. I got it all figured out and thanks for all the help. You just need the hotfix for windows, it wasn't a memory or HDD or MB issue at all. Everything is up and running now I just need to wait until the TRUE arrives to push the CATS out of this thing!!!

Thats good. I was having the same problems with my first build. I was always getting BSOD's, even when I set optimal settings in BIOS. So I put in my Ubuntu 8.4 CD, and ran a MEM test. And it failed. So I took all sticks out, but 1. And it ran fine. I kept adding sticks till it failed. As it turned out, 1 of my new Crucial Ballistix was bad, and it was only used for 1 month. Because that RAM was bad, I was getting BSOD's like crazy. After that, I had no problems, I OC'd my P5K Premium with an E2200 to 3.3 on AIR. This 750i and Q6600 is tougher, for me.
