HELP! Have Alienware case - No Key - Page 3

yes this type of lock is one of the easyest to pick open...use a bic pen or something like it and just search youtube or something for the vid if you need. im busy now but ill look for that vid later on tonight its quite easy might take a while at first but you will figure it out. ive even seen things made from pipe and clay with little pins in it with springs attached...I dont think you need to go that far just break a pen open and make some pokers on the ends.

Thanks for all of your help! I tried the Bic method but every Bic pen that I tried, the pen was too big for the lock.

A friend of mine drilled the lock out and I set my new tower up tonight. It looks great, can't even tell it was drilled.

Sigh, if its the lock I'm thinking of....:swearing:

Can't believe you resorted to a drill for a lock I could pick with a toothpick.

Hell...Chuck Norris could probably do it with a toe nail.

Either way, we want pics of that setup when its done

My question is do all Alienware Towers use the same master key or does each tower have its own key? I would prefer not to drill the lock out, but that is my only other option, unless some of you know some special way to open it up without the key.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing some of your responses.

we're in the same boat. i just found the whole thing (PC, monitor, keyboard, & mouse) all for $75 @ the salvation army. AWESOME. except.. the little flap doesn't shut all the way. I've been trying to find the key thing. i looked on eBay but all i get are keyboards and individual keys. i looked at the Alienware site but cant find them.. i guess I'll have to just call and hope i get someone who will know what I'm talking about.

Not to sure if this is possible, but does the other side of the case unscrew? if so you may be able to reach in and turn the lock from the inside, all it is is a piece of plastic that turns to prevent you from openin the door.
