Anyone using this card with the new seagate 1.5TB's? Or have any benches of it?

Hmmm... don't remember... I believe all my RAID5 tests were at 64Kb. Sector size shouldn't matter that much until you get to the extremes (i.e. 8kb, 1MB)
Yes, I put some scotch tape over the 5th and 6th pins but I don't think it made a difference. The OS detects the controller either way and neither show it in the BIOS. Also do the cables the OP mentioned for sure work? I see that some people said they have issues with the cables and it it looks like mine isn't detecting drives (at least what I can gather from the CLI)

Hey I just got my card, cut the 5 and 6th pins, flashed the firmware to LSI and installed the megaraid utility. What is the default login for the card?

Ok, I figured out its my Computer login. Now the card is seen in bios and I can also see the card in the OS. The only problem is I tried connecting a SATA drive and it didnt see it. I tried several different drives and none are seen in the bios. I have still have the ICH9R enabled, a 3132 SI esata card, and the Jmicron enabled, could this be causing the issue? any help appreciated.

experincing the same problem, also on P35 chipset motherboard. Mine works just with 5/6 pin mod in secondary PCI-E, in primary (x16) it works also without modding...however, it does not detect any type of drives :-(

I am having this issue as well and I bought the exact cables the OP listed. Can you tell me exactly which cables you bought and where from?

I've bought the Supermicro CBL-0103L cables from local store - they are directly recommended somewhere in this thread. This was later confirmed by DuckieHo in post No. 285

Tomorow, I'm checking my card in PowerEdge 2900 DELL server which it has been designed for...just to proof the condition of card itself.
