Looks good, the only problem is will it be quite? The antec P182 is meant to be a very good case for silence and I would personaly prefer a quiet PC rather then one with a better graphics card. I am even thinking about getting an 8800gt instead of the 4850 to save some cash. What do you think gives better value for money?

I won't recommend xfire for a first and I will stress 2 points... The CPU cooler will have a big impact. The VGA cooler will have a HUGE impact... I saw this when I bought the accelero X2... the noise reduction was more that could be anticipated!

I would spend extra on the vga cooler and cpu rather than extra HDD space or a factory OC'ed video card...

Thanks for the advice, how about this 8800gt - http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/s....html?XFX-88GT with the accelero s1 r2- http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=627848

For the cpu I'll get a TRUE 120 with a nexus real silent fan.

Should I go for this over the 4850 plus have money left over?

Does anyone know which graphics card runs cooler, the 8800gt or the 4850?

Ok I'll go for the 4850

I'm a bit over budget at the moment but don't mind spending the extra if it's worth it.

The ram I'm thinking of getting at the moment is this stuff - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/142433 What advantages are there in getting this more expensive ram than to something cheaper like this stuff - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/130429 . Better overclock?

Also will there be much difference between a hard drive with 16mb cache and a hard drive with 32mb cache?

You are in luck because i'm also in the process of building a quiet rig. I have the P182, it's a nice case but i'd prefer something else, something smaller. Everytime i lift it, i feal like my spine is about to rip out of my skin. So i'm getting an Antec Solo in a week

For the HS i'm getting a Xigmatek and putting a 10db 40cfm Scythe Kaza fan on it. buying two 92mm Tri-cools at 21 or 28db in the front for intake.

For the exaust i'm using a 1200rpm scythe kaza 24db 64cfm. I already have that fans and it's really quiet since i'm using one it will be ok. I'm also getting sound dampening foam.

If you look at frostytech reviews the Xigmatek is one of the cheapest coolers and is sometimes better or equal to the Thermalrite

and is more recommended

http://www.frostytech.com/top5heatsinks.cfm

http://www.ncixus.com/products/index.php?sku=26746

I'm also putting silicone fan screws onto all of the fans. It's supposed to be a SILENT system.

Everything is going to be built when i come back from vacation in 3 weeks. I'll post a log

I've already ordered the TRUE which arrived this morning and also the antec P182 which should arrive tomorrow, the rest of the pc I haven't orderd yet because i'm waiting for the intel price cuts which should hopefully be sometime this week.

I could of gone for the xigmatek but went for the true because it comes with thermal paste and the mounting brackets which I would have overwise bought seperatly if I had gone with the xigmatek. The true also looks much nicer imo

I don't really mind if the p182 is heavy because I doubt I'll be moving it around much. It looks like a good case but I'll find out tomorrow when it arrives.

At the moment I'm thinking of getting two nexus fans, one for the true and the other for the accelero because their the cheapest decent fans I can find in the uk. I would love some scythe fans but would have to buy them from the US because there so hard to find decently priced in the uk. I'll see what the tri-cools are like first before replacing them though.

I'm just waiting for the E7300 to be released now
