How would he know its overclocked?

Just push the clocks up a little bit, he will be happy with the extra speed and just think its a good pc.

Personally would get a cheaper proc and just oc it a bit. I have an E2180 and pushed it to 3 ghz on stock voltage. Just whack it up to say 2.4 ghz, will do that easily and safely.

Then spend the extra cash on a better quality psu.

What about a case?

Changed the CPU to a E2180 to save some cash, it's a charity anyway. I'll be using the case from the old PC, np there. As for the PSu I have to agree. Any ideas? Some spare cash freed up now (plenty).
