Need a new sound setup!!

Thread Starter
Hey guys, its been a while since I last posted here. But to the point, yesterday my Steel Series 5h v2's broke.

Now I'm looking to get a new headset. I am going to use them for playing games(cs, cs:s, dod:s, cod4) and listening to music(rock, rap, hip-hop, emo).

I've also been using a usb sound card and i've heard that to get the full potential out of my headset I need a good sound card.

The hd555's are good from what I've heard. If i get those ill only have enough money to get a low-end creative sound card. Should i just get the hd555's and use them with my usb sound card and wait to get a better sound card?

My budget is around $100-$150. Thanks alot!

OK headsets I love um all!
The best for gaming which I prefer ( and i play CS:S like you ) would be either these three from sennheiser: pc-151's, pc-161's, or the hd-555's. The steel Series Siberia is also a very good headset. Just a heads up don't get Medusa or razers for gaming. You have to change a lot of setting to get it working. Another headset which I have heard good things about is the ATH-AD700, but I don't know from exp. Cheers!

EDIT:
If you can throw down around 90 more dollars get the 555's and then get the xfi extreme gamer. DO NOT get the fatal1ty edition unless you wanna throw down some more money and do the MIR which ends up to be 5 bucks cheaper than the regular extreme gamer.
