First ever Build, what you think?

Well here it is, http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...istTitle=Brand + Antec 900( allready have)

I am not sure on the motherboard, thought i would post it here to see what you all think and all input is welcomed. For the video card i am going with Nvidia ( friend had a really bad experience with ATI recently) Anything thing else i am open to changing, budget is around $850. Will mostly be used for Gaming, CAD, and writing papers.

I hear nothing but good stuff about the eVGA boards like this one and think about a 9800GTX or a 260 instead of the 8800

i would suggest the EVGA or XFX 680i A1 just get which ever one is cheaper BUT make sure its an A1 since u have the quad core. the A1 revision fixed problems w/quads and overclocking and if u plan on overclocking u need to clean the SPP/NB heatsinks n put AS5 on there because from factory they put tons on them.

Might wanna go with this Xigmatek cooler
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233003

Then with the money saved, get an 8800GTS/9800GTX

(But for this price range, I seriously recommend ATI)

I agree with sLowEnd,IMO this cooler will be better for you especially if you plan to OC your quad. And if your looking at a SLI board the 750i FTW is a good choice.

After looking at both the 680i A1 and the 750i FTW, i am going to go with the 750i FTW board. Now stepping up to the 9800GTX would it be worth the wait for the 9800GTX+? from what i have been able to gather it should be at newegg within the next few days, and is going to be around the same price as the 9800GTX? So many choices

I`m ATI fan, so I would suggest HD4850 here...but in case you`d like to SLI I suggest you to wait for 9800 GTX+..
