I wasn't aware 2.0 was jailbroken yet. I should really keep up with these things. My guess would be, if you have the 2.0 firmware jailbroken, you should be fine downloading things. If it DOES lock it, just rollback the firmware, and jailbreak it again. No biggie.

yes you can

i am using iPhone 2G upgraded from 1.1.4 to 2.0.0 using a pwnage produced IPSW file.

the phone is unlocked, jailbroken and activated. i am using Money Ball, Remote, scribble, facebook, VNC, iPint and lots others.

but the Install.app is gone, replaced by another installer. with less apps, because of the new firmware, all apps must be re-written. so if there are apps you cannot live without, better wait a bit

download an old firmware. Put your iphone or ipod into recovery mode. Then connect your ipod and in itunes hold shift and click restore. This will allow you to select the firmware

how to put into recovery mode is here

thanks for the info guys. i would love to upgrade my fw to 2.0 but no idea how. i didnt unlock the phone myself originally i bought it unlocked, hence the reason im still on 1.1.3, im havent been confident enough to upgrade it so far.

wuyanxu, did you use any guide to do yours?

this morning, i followed this guide and re-did unlocking, because i felt it lagged quite a lot.
http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1572

last time, i used someone else's IPSW firmware, this time, i followed that guide, and using my own firmware, it feels a little bit smoother now

so follow that guide and you should be fine.

how did you get your own firmware instead of the one in the guide?
