How fan can my RAM be pushed?

I have OCZ platinum 1066MHz. I want to get different ratios with the RAM to the FSB. With my board, I don't have the 1:1 option... for some reason. It gives me different ratios.

But with that aside, would this 1066MHz RAM be able to get to 1200MHz+?

It's already at 2.1 Vdimm by the way That's what it is supposed to be at for stock speeds.

The 1:1 ratio is called 333/667 on your board, no sense in using it though untill about 500MHz FSB with that ram.

Most 2GiB sticks do not respond well to more than 2.1v. You might beabel to push it to 2.15 or even 2.2v if you have cooling specifically for the ram, but I doubt you would gain a whole lot.

DDR-1200+ is unlikely, but there is only one way to be sure, test it yourself.

there aren't many RAM modules that will do 1200+ at least not for prolonged periods of times and without massive voltage equaling certain death. I would wager that unless you got the absolute best RAM modules that OCZ has ever made, you won't get 1200+

Okay. Sounds good! The reason I ask is because some of those settings make my RAM in the 1100's with my current FSB and I didn't know whether or not it could handle that.

It might, but you never know until you try it.

My G.Skills will run 1200MHz on 2.2V and have done so with no problems, but I don't see any added performance at that speed, so I run them at 1066MHz. Usually a 1:1 divider is pretty ideal for most motherboards. Just remember that 1:1 refers to bus speed. So 1:1 on a 400FSB means 1600MHz effective QDR and your RAM would run at 800MHz.
