8 gb pro duo

Thread Starter
Im looking for the best price on the 8gb Sony Pro Duo memory for my psp.

Im reading that there are alot of fakes floating around. Ebay has them for as little as $40.00 shipped. That seems a little cheap and makes me uneasy.

1. Has anyone had any luck with the cheap ebay "Sony" memory pro duos?

2. If the ebay ones are fake. Where would be the best price for one and how can I be sure its real before I even buy it.

Probably 95% of the cards on Ebay are fake. Best bet to find a real one is order from a known retailer/e-tailer and then check if the card has MagicGate enabled (the fake ones don't) if it is a Sony card.

That said, I know quite a few people with the "fake" cards and they work perfectly fine. The only difference is the transfer speed. 1.5-2MB/s vs 4-5MB/s.

I got my 4gb pro duo on ebay for a really good price. They're suprisingly cheap. And if the seller has good rep then you can trust them. Look for people who have left rep after buying the same product!

They sell 4GB sticks for like $20. They have the Sony logo on them but they are fake. They do work perfectly fine though just with slow transfer speeds. Ive tried dozens of em.

They also sell an 8GB stick for like $40. Have a go at it.
