Thanks for the swift reply.
I might do a hole then. Maybe it'll be worth putting on some taller feet to compensate.
BTW, when you say "stopped pushing air" do you mean it got hotter?

Sorry for the lateness of a reply back on here I wound up spending a LONG time catching up over on the H50 thread.

That would be a very happy yes. Bill did a WONDERFUL job on that case so much so I ordered another one for my hubby.

Now, after thinking about things for awhile and looking at posts here I've got some ideas that I'm hoping I can ship a 3rd 300 out to Bill to add the same features plus some. Unfortunately, it looks like he's pretty swamped over there so I'm going to have to poke him soon to see how badly.

BTW, if you ever get an itch for custom PC stuff Bill is your person. Polite, professional, and well worth his weight in beer.

And to clarify anyone thinking SCL is copying my log, he is the new owner. I built it, he now owns it. I just wanted to let everyone know, lol.
Ahhh, glad I waited and did a multi-reply otherwise I would have looked downright silly. Very nice job on that case!

Most likely. When I tried to do it on mine after someone mentioned it was possible my PSU got VERY hot so much so I shut things off and prayed I did not cook my PSU.

You really need a hole on the bottom in order to make a fan-down mounting work. Do be sure however to also add taller case feet to that as well otherwise there will not really be enough airflow under the case to keep the PSU supplied.

While part of me hopes that Antec does a redesign of the 300 the other part of me is afraid they'll turn it into something fugly like the 200 which is just a 300 with a nasty looking front. :swearing:

Ok, so I just bought an Antec 200. Pretty decent case for the money. I'm getting a little tired of spending $100 + for cases that don't provide better cooling then a $50 case. I change out my system fans for fans I like anyway. It's a pretty bare bones case, but it has a lot of cooling options. So I loaded 2 red LED CM R4's in the front. A Slipstream med speed 120 on the side. A Xigi 140 on the top and a Xigi 120 on my H50. It's solid, has a clean look, and cools well. All I can ask for in a case.

Front fans are CM R4s, there's an R4 in the rear too (red leds). The 5.25" slot covers, are indeed, JUST the mesh.

Yes, that is electrical tape covering the front audio jacks. I clipped the wires to them (I don't use front audio ports), so I covered them with the tape to give the impression that they aren't there from a distance. The power LED used to be the insanely bright blue, colored the plastic piece between it and the case green to dull it down.
Cool green. I like green as well.
