Nice! Look forward to seeing some pics as to how yours turns out.

You planning on doing just the window or you got more in mind? Myself, had I the tools, talent, and space to do it would suggest the following:

a. Window
b. PSU hole for airflow in bottom of case
b. CPU backplate hole
c. Cable routing holes
d. Removing top two 3.5 bays, to allow for clearance for a HD 5970, while still being able to use the bottom 4 bays. 'Tho I would be tempted to cut that down to 3 and use one of the 5.25 bays up top for another drive.

This will give you an awesome 300 case with lots of options.

My Antec 1200 Black Steel just arrived today along with all my other new parts. Can't wait to get off work (in 12 freaking hours! grrrrrr) and put all of it together!
My Antec 300 should be here within the hour so I got a quick question. I was looking at some mods here and noticed that some people leave those metal airblockers in the 5.25 slots. Usually this is the first thing I remove because it is quick and easy. Any reason I should leave them in there?

Well I leave mine in because I want to direct where the air flow goes in my case. Also, it will be next to impossable to maintain positive pressure in the case to help keep the dust out. But there is no un written rule that you have to keep them in.

I always go with a negative pressure setup. I don't really have a dust problem and I clean and redo them every 6 months or so. But I see in your sig that your 550BE is oc'ed past 4GHz so I may have to rethink this pressure thing (I have the same cpu)

I've noticed that many cases "default" to negative pressure. The Antec 300 comes with 2 exhaust fans only. According to CoolerMaster my CM690 is recommended to run at a negative pressure. It is all so confusing.

Does anyone else think the filers may have been a bad idea for air flow? Its great that it keeps dust out of them, but once mine start to clouge up it feels like barley any airflow enters the front, as well as my cpu temp riseing about 2cs.
