The Antec 300/900/1200 Owners Thread - Page 286

thanks mate I'm lovin it alot cant believe i waited this long cuz i despise the blue.

Quick question on water cooling

i see alot of ppl have a 240 or 360 rad on the inside of their 1200 where the hdd cages are... so in order to do this do you have to remove the 2 or 3 hdd cages in order to fit the rad inside there? or do you just put the rad behind the cages where the optional interior 120mm fan bracket would clip on

And is it better to put the rad there or up top underneath the bigboy fan? thanks for the help

You should take the hdd cages out unless you have around three inches of space behind the hd cages. Most people just take out the HD cages and put the rad in the front.

So if you take them out, you won't be able to use the 3 front intake case fans ?

Yes you would you would just have the fans blowing through the radiator. Then the air would go into the case through the radiator.

so i recently was going thru my computer parts bin and i noticed that the harddrive bay from my old computer would be big enough to fit beneath the cd tray. i figured that it would allow me to get better cooling into the case for my 900 because it has less objects blocking right.

is this a good idea or should i scrap it because it would procuce too much heat from the harddrives and the cd rom

im running: x25m 80gb ssd and a 1tb caviar green

One thing I was thinking that could be done is take a few layers of electrical tape and line the HD cages with that. It would be a tight fit but it might work.
