The Antec 300/900/1200 Owners Thread - Page 401

I know but i care. You'd be surprised how much less space you'd get without getting your feet under there or not to mention if you got pets. Especially dust but if you're on carpet then that's a different story.

I'd like to join, here are a couple pics of my sig rig. I think my cable mgt looks a little better in person versus how it looks here.

I also have a question. Please excuse me if its been asked, i've looked and can't find the answer.
What's the best way to have the rear fan and the two front fans controlled by the mobo? I only see molex connectors.

I've had the 1200 for a couple years now. I'd really like to add a switch to turn the leds off on the 120mm fans, but looking more closely at them, it seems like I would either have to re-wire them or replace the fans completely. Has anybody tried a mod like this before? I'm new to modding cases, so some resources or advice would be a huge help.

I'm pretty happy with the 1200's looks, and there is a lot of space, but man there are some annoying quirks. The front audio port is unusable due to interference that causes a loud buzzing. I need to unscrew a total of 16 screws just to swap harddrives. Argh

Add me to the list I guess, haha!

dont have to totally rewire, cut the wire going to the LED's soder new wire onto both ends, bring all of the positive sides from each fan together and all negetives from each side togher, and put them in a switch. ITs not the cleanest but its fast and effective

Your pictures are really small. You can't control the stock fans through the motherboard. However, you can buy a fan controller and rig all of them to the same port/knob and control it that way. That's what I did with my stock fans.

Edit: Meant to say your pictures are really small and I can't tell if your gpu is sagging or not. For me, my 5770s sag a bit because of the Twin Frozr cooler and something I did to counter that was to zip-tie the PCI-E connectors to a higher point so they pull the cards up from the saggng end. I don't think the sag does anything to affect performance, but it definitely worries me.

Not sure why the pics are so small. Try this...

Thanks for the insight. thumb.gif Do you have a reco on a good controller? Or are controllers basically all created equal. Just pick one based on the #of fans it controls and how fancy you want it to look?
