It isn't yet, but I'm waiting for it

If you're looking to save cash, you can go with a less powerful PSU as that TX750W is a bit overkill for that rig, though it is an unbeatable PSU for the price

You have set your maximum budget at $2000, after a very quick add up in my head you have around 622 dollars left to spend, if you tell me what you're looking for I would be happy to assist

Or if you want to get an LCD monitor, then save some cash by getting an X48 chipset board with a HD 4870.

Why because you prefer the logo?

Jeez, fanboys are idiots.

I bet if they were offering a GeForce 2 or a 4870, they'd still take the GeForce because they prefer the NVidia packaging. =/

The 9800GTX+ is the NVidia equivalent of the ATI HD 4850. The 4870's equivalent is the 9800GX2. The 4870X2 equivalent is the GTX 280.

Why would someone choose a worse card just because of the brand?

And ATI's best card will be the 4870X2, and NVidia's is the GTX 280, so in that sense they are equivalents, even though a single 4870X2 is better than a single GTX 280. And no, the 4870 is not the equivalent to the GTX 280..., the GTX 280 out performs it in pretty much every benchmark. You need two 4870s to compete with one GTX 280.

That pretty much sums you up...

Edit: The 4870 in CF will not beat the GTX 280 in SLI. The 4870 in CF will probably beat the 260 in SLI.
