And yeah... those fan filters are excellent. Fine enough to catch the worst of the debris, large enough as to not hinder airflow, and readily vaccum-cleaned.

Keep up the great work.

Day 2-Slow goings.

Hello again my package from xoxide came so i have another little update to take up our time while we wait on the main course ^_^

Package from xoxide

Mmmmmm sleeving

alright ill get back to the sleeving, time to do a quick bit of checking on my psu before i order a fan for it

Hmm weird connection ill deffinitly have to be doing some soldering

alrighty so the fans off im going to order a yate loon to replace it

Dang looking at these wires against the side it appears its too tight to fit a side window im going to have to scrap that plan

Hmmm i have no idea how these two come out of the back

check out the way its in if u have any ideas on how it comes off let me know i havnt really done much psu altering before, at worst ill just stick my hands in their and pull until it comes off

alrighty so back to the sleeving

ARGGGGG................

EPIC FAIL!!!

So it appears that the things i was going to sleeve are all unsleevable for the time being.
CCFL's:need to assemble case again before i can gauge whether or not these need to be lengthened first.
Case Power:IS going to need to be extended.
Single unsleeved cable from psu:cant remove molex's.
CCFL's toggle switch:going to need to resolder this first to the new toggle switches once they come.
Case Fans:need molex remover

So im going to buy a molex remover with my order of parts thats coming and get back to this task when everything gets here. although its disheartening to see myself failing at tasks i know it will make it all the sweeter when this is all done.

So heres my revised grocery list
Grocery List

Performance-PC
vandal switch $15
Togglex2 $20
Double sided mounting tape $5
C-channel $5
Yate Loon $10
Wiring $5
Molex Remover $10
Total $70

Home depot
dremel $50
rivet gun+rivets $20
screws/washers/bolts $5
Wire stripper $10
Total $85

Lowes
plexiglass $20
Total $20

OCN
True $40
AS5 $0
Total $40

Amazon
Mirage $40
Total $40

Car store
Sand paper $20
Paint stuff $40
Tack cloth $5
Total $65

Newegg
DVD-rom $30
Rheobus $35
Total $65

Grand Total $385

So thats all for now im waiting on some money in the mail and then i will be ordering everything i need for the mods ive mentioned so far with the exception of the mobo, ram, proc, and card. Also im now considering puttin on some aluminum feet and adding a fan between the psu and the hard drive cage on the bottom, ill get back to u guys on that later on.

One question for all you expert modders, i am thinking that i will have to do wire management later on in the build after the paint job and reriveting. Do you guys think that cutting it after its back together could damage the paint job? Thanks in advance for the help whoever can answer this.

Thanks for watching! ^_^

Thanks for watching! ^_^

Just tape out a square bigger than the hole you want to drill.

Drill the hole through the tape and metal.

Carefully remove the tape - pulling it off towards the hole to keep paint from peeling.

Invest in some grommets to cover the edges or at least a clear-coat of enamel to protect the edges (and your wires)

***EDIT***

Also, You might be better off trying to invest (I know, it's more money) in a powersupply that's already sleeved in the color you want.

Or get Performance-Pcs to sleeve a PSU for you. (I think it's like $30 or so to get all the PSU wires sleeved. And you choose any color you want, UV reactive or not)

It's just my opinion and maybe you'd like to do it yourself but to me its just a giant headache.

Alright so ive been thinking about the possibility of adding a bottom fan and i wanted some opinions. Their are two things that worry me with the bottom fan mod. First off if i add the fan to the bottom i will be stuck using a short psu as a longer one would leave me with a big empty hole on the bottom and no fan, second im worried about the small clearance under the case. If i add the fan their will only be 1cm of clearance under it for air to move and im not sure if that will have any ill effects. Let me know what u guys think ^_^
EDIT: alrighty ive been thinking about it and for the time being im not going to do it.

yea im scrapping the bottom fan idea its too close a fit against the psu if i ever upgraded the psu to a longer one i would have to deal with a huge hole in the bottom.
