MOM.exe

Thread Starter
I found this MOM.exe in my processes list. Google results are strange; some say it's part of ATI's CCC drivers, others say that it's spyware.

Here is what Symantec.com says.

When i searched my HDD, i did get a result for ATI's drivers, but i also got another result as a .PF file. Does anybody know what this is?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

MOM.exe is a part of older Catalyst builds and uses runtime 2.0 to execute

However, there COULD be spyware that exploits that same name and icon

I suggest uninstalling CCC and see if it goes away - if not, REFORMATZ!!!

The .pf file is the prefetch file for mom.exe; you can tell because it's located in the Prefetch directory. There's no problem with it being there; in fact, it should be there, and it is not spyware.

the .pf is a pagefile file, which tries to make the program launch faster when you need it. Seems fine to me.
