Big problem with new intel system

Thread Starter
Just bought brand new:
Intel motherboard,
2 gig of Ram
Intel pentium dual core processor
and a XFX 9800 GTX

(Using an old IDE drive (80 gig) and standard ATX case + a 500watt psu)

Ok after i put the system together it worked fine with no problems what so ever.... untill i launched a game...after about 5 minutes i get a blue screen or sometimes just a restart.

I have no clue what to try since i have tried different RAM and a different graphics card.

Have you guys got any ideas?

Tried more than one game? Could be a lot of things, windows errors, left over drivers..

Did you reinstall OS or is this the same one from your old system?
Once again...

Overclocked yet or not...the board while I very nice one is none the less stupid. You must put all the necessary settings for it to run properly.

To start what is the cpu? Is it different than whats in ur rig?

Chipset drivers maybe? After 5 minutes, overheating graphics card maybe?

You must monitor the temps with your video and cpu to start off with. Otherwise, it's possible you got a bad stick of ram?
