I meant that how long do I have to run Prime to get the [Stable]

But I think that I got the answer. 6 for Prime and 2 for OCCT?

I don't see the need for a 24-hour test. I ran mine for 12 and a half hours and I haven't had any problems.

I was told on here to run mine for 24 hours, so I did at 3.8 GHz (100% stable). I've seen others who were put as "Stable" on the first post of this thread, who only posted 1 hour Prime95 runs. Thus if you put a 1-3 hour prime run and say that you're stable, you'll most likely get added as such.

HOWEVER, even when I run Prime95 stable for that long, I've still been able to get game crashes in Company of Heroes. For those of you who've played this game at high settings, you know that it can be even more demanding than Prime95. In fact, I get vCore temps as high, if not higher, when running that game, as I do in Prime95 (and I have a very cool running case)! It is also capable of using more than 4GB of ram to run it. I've since changed some ram settings that now have me stable in CoH as well as Prime95, but I thought you should know that this doesn't necessarily mean 100% stability under stress; this can only be found by doing everything you can to crash it, and on continual day to day use. Good luck!

Did you test it stable for 24 hours on blend? It sounds like you just did small FFTs.

I thought that small FTTs were all that was req'd. If blend is the better stress tester, then why do we do small FTTs?

Thanks.

i use blend to test over all stability it test ram and cpu. small FFT is to test mainly the cpu and if that fails we know the cpu is the issue. if large fft fails then ram is the issue. for the most part at least.

To get [Stable] I would like to see 12 hours blend 6 hours small fft and 6 hours large fft. But, I will take your word for it. If though you are not stable, and you say you are, you must realize that your system may be at risk and that you may not get the help you need unless you tell us. just PM me

Good to know! I've run the blend (default) test before, but not for 12-24 hours. I'll do that tonight!
