LOL - read what I edited into my last post, while you were posting. Can't increase vCore due to temps... Right? Low 60s is about the limit, isn't it? That seems to be about the consensus from what I gather reading here-n-there, yes?

70 degrees. tehy're rated to 71.4. 1.25v should be fine.

and stick 1.4 into your northbridge, i'd almost guarantee it's that if you're in the 400 strap. i get 475 in the 333 strap.

It's apparently not vCore or NB volts or DRAM volts... At 425 I POST but lockup trying to boot the OS. At 424, I'm stable.

Settings:
  • Northbridge Volts: 1.4v

  • FSB Strap: 400 MHz.

  • FSB Terminal Volts: 1.28v

  • VCore: 1.3v in BIOS;
    CPU-Z VCore:
    - 1.28 @ idle
    - 1.296 @ load
  • CPU Ratio: 8.0

  • PCIE Frequency: 100

  • FSB Strap: 400

  • Ai Transaction Boost: Manual

  • Common Performance Level: 10

  • DRAM Volts:2.0

  • Northbridge Volts: 1.4

  • Load Line Calibration: Enabled

  • CPU & PCIE Spread Spectrum: Disabled

  • CPU & Northbridge Clock Skew: Auto

  • CPU Margin Enhancement: Optimized
Everything else is "Auto"...

Increasing NB volts and DRAM volts and Vcore hasn't gotten me a single MHz of increase. That's gotta mean something, but unfortunately I have no clue as to what! LOL

DRAM Volts:1.4 isnt right Im guessing that is a typo. Those Pi's require 1.8-1.9 voltage. If you have the voltage already at 1.9 You could try loosening the memory timings im assuming their currently at 4-4-4-12 maybe try 5-5-5-15. I know that board can do higher than 425 FSB and most Q9450 average around 3.6 before temps/voltages hold your overclock back or you have a crappy overclocker

redalert -

You're right - DRAM voltage is 2.0. Or it was. I'll double check and change it to 2.0v if in fact it is at 1.4.

Thanks!

Yup - it was at 2.0 v.

temps seem quite high for 1.3v vCore.

fsb termination. you need that to be higher than your vcore

stick 1.4 into it.

Just a quick one.....I saw a setting for "PCI Latency" in the BIOS. It is set at 32 at the moment, the other options are 64 and 128. Should this be set to 64 seeing at its a 64 bit operating system?

Stuck in 1.4v into FSB Terminal Voltage and changed the FSB speed from 424 to 425 and BSOD'd after starting PRIME. Backed the FSB speed back from 425 to 424 and have been PRIMING since last night w/out errors.
