Stock Intel cooler, just thought the case/fans would keep load temps under 75* if not lower at 2.66ghz, a bit worried. I've read people reaching 2.8-3.0 on stock cooling so wasn't expecting such high temps. Looking at the Rosewill RCX-Z775 for cooling help and have some Artic Silver 5 laying around that I plan on replacing whatever's on there now when reseating. Figure this will hopefully take it down near 60*C max under load or less.

I never use the stock intel coolers and havent for a while cuz i always have a better one layin around. I use as5. it does have a curing time, but should do better than the stock material. With my true on there(full of dust i might add) and one silverstone fan i hold a comfortable temp of just under 58c 24/7 under 100% load. I fold on this computer and it never sleeps. Thats the highest core temp. The actual cpu temp itself never reads over 50c. Thats with an average 70f ambient temp.

So, my system is listed in my sig.

here is what my BIOS looks like
http://www.elitebastards.com/index.p...7&limitstart=3

I have been trying to OC my system for a couple of months with no luck getting it 24/7 stable.

And temperature has never been an issue, i have sufficient cooling to all the components. I just cant find the right values and there are SO MANY voltages i can change with this board.

Would you guys help me start over my OC please?

I am not looking to OC crazy, just 3.2-3.4G would be good enough. And like i said, temp is not a problem so i am not looking to "Maximize OC with the lowest voltage possible". I just need the OC to work and stable.

i had q6600 with stock 2.4ghz i managed to overclock it to 3.5ghz -it was a great filling
and now i use Q9450 and i reached 4 ghz, man, this is very smooth and fast performance )) If you ever feel 4ghz on a quad, you don't want to change everything ))
It's a feeling o freedom
