EVE is such a diverse and deep game, it gives the player a open path to explore the universe.

It is sorta odd, I started my accounts last year in 2008, played for a few months and then took a break. About 4 months ago I got back into the game and have been addicted since. I now have four accounts, the two original accounts are my PVP/ratting. The other two are training for Hulks/learning skills, they will be my industrial money makers soon enough.

I've got my buddies into the game, and most have two accounts now as well. The big change in the game to be honest was when I got back into EVE, my corp was still active, Silent Wolves and our alliance the 101010 alliance had just been wardecked. The call was made to move all assets to Providence/9UY area. That begin a whole new world into EVE which I had never known. I was always told 'Stay away from 0.0 and low sec missions etc...'. So the move down there was only going to be temporary, but I havn't left since.

For those who do not know about 0.0 and low sec it isn't a place for everyone. You need to know what your getting into first and have a corp/alliance to teach you the skills and techniques that will save your hide. It is a place where you can make a fortune and lose one if not careful. The mentality of having a big ole battleship ruling space isn't how things work in low sec. The space is ruled by frigates-t2 cruisers, and a plethora of ships I had never scene before.

So now it has been a few months of being in low sec for myself. I've been concentrating on learning how to lead small fleets, camp guarding, traps and soon raiding parties. We recently had around 7 guys join our Corp, four of which are in Iraq in the US Army. Our Corp is about to put up the first 0.0 POS location, for mining ops and security purposes.

For the new guys in my corp who will be joining us down in low sec, a focus of 'learning skills' is a first. The second thing, for those wanting to get into PVP is deciding what the corp and the player wants that person to do. We have a few training for Assault ships, which will be great tackles and annoying pests. One of our players is a healer and has been in other games, so his obvious menu is to go Logistical support. A ship with Remote Shield/Armor repairing is a must in a fleet, and will save your butt in a fight.

For those who have never PVP'd before, let me say it is a great learning experience to have a corp that can show you the ropes and teach you how a fleet works. Whether it be small or large, the PVP fights are awesome. Your heart will jump a few beats if you are ever attacked, and even more if you win/lose.

Being in a thirty + man fleet and jumping smack into a enemy fleet is a great story. Bubbles galore with lasers/missiles and loud concussions everywhere. Hearing your Fleet Commander calling targets, ships exploding, people trying to MWD out of bubbles. Your overview turns red with flashing enemy ships and your one thought 'whoa...' and then blowing up the last enemy and chasing the few who got away down to high sec is something that stirs you into PVP.

My Corp has small goals for now and larger ones for the future. Myself and a few others will be joining the capital ship league soon enough.

So, in short. If your a new player, EVE isn't like other games where you can master everything and dominate. It takes time, hands down the most important factor in EVE. Be patient, do not always go for the 'bigger is better' because in EVE, a cruiser/frigate can take down a battleship, I have seen it happen. Learning skills, learning skills and did I mention learning skills. Do them all to lvl 4-5, it may take over a month to get near there, but in the very long run it is worth it.

For those who are new and need someone to help guide them, I am more then happy to help. My in game name is: PhelanJKell and JaimeKell. I have a channel for friends/corp mates so if you contact me I will guide you through how to get that channel open. If your interested in joining a corp, I can talk to you about the Silent Wolves, and after some time I am sure we can work things out. Fly safe all, I'm home for the weekend for a 5K run tomorrow and family visiting. Cya on EVE, Sunday afternoon.

Corps and players can setup their own POS's, for refining, ship building, module construction, and protection etc..

In low sec space it is necessary to have a POS setup in systems you operate out of, in case a red comes in system you can jump to your POS and be safe.
