Go look up threads on people putting their cpu fans on the exhaust vent, and coating everything with thermal paste, even the pci slots. Lots of peole would be better off at best buy or having some adult supervision (even for some adults).

HoDoI, do you want Intel or AMD. AMD's 780g board comes with a HD3200 integrated graphic with HDMI out the back, but i recommend getting a GFX card with it anyways.
Smoke according to you knowledge what would you recommend? amd or intel? Im looking for good experience! Im looking into Intel

I would go for intel, as your budget is ample enough.
Will this be a gaming PC or a movie PC or both? High-end graphics needed?

here an AMD build:
case
Apevia Q-pack, black/silver small, very portable (why it's a few extra $$).
Mobo
AMD 780Ggood/cheap with, 'nuff said.
PSU
TT 430w, 18a on +12v rail, the 420w that comes with the case looks like :turd:
GPU
Palit 9600gt good video card. dual DVI, HDMI, Display port, AND SPDIF out.
RAM
G.Skill 2x1gb kit great brand, great ram
CPU
AMD 5000+ brisbane (65nm) dual core @ 2.6ghz comes with cooler, if your not overclocking, this cooler should be fine.
dvd/rom
BLU-RAY FOR YOUR 60" 1080P!!
HDD
segate 250gb

total is $635.93 before shipping and rebates

EDIT: if you want to use that video card you may need a different case. the video card has a dual slot cooler, and i'm not exactly sure how long it is. a coolermaster 590 or antec 300 would work perfectly if you and your roommate don't mind a mid-tower sitting around.
