If you installed your folding client with origami under ubuntu, point FahMon to /var/lib/origami/foldingathome/YOURCPUHERE. Took me a few minutes to figure that out, maybe it can save other noobs some time.

If you're using the SMP client, I'd recommend using HFM instead. Fahmon doesn't include bonus calculations, so won't show your true PPD.

And as for your question (for HFM now), choose whichever location you want, but make sure to refer to that location for the other instructions. (Oh, and the SMP/GPU guide for Ubuntu have instructions for HFM if necessary too).
