@mushroomboy: I have a rig in my living room that runs off a wonky 160GB WD1600BEVS.
It's a laptop drive, the Power on hours count doesn't track properly, and it says there are 143 bad sectors on the hard drive. (Y)
Tanked for years though, and is still fine.

I've got had drives going on 4.6 years of up time, the seek and read error rates on the drives is so high it's almost completely outside the constraints of SMART. LOL The drive is almost 5 years old? Maybe 6? lol I don't remember.

SSDs have their own set of parameters, different from HDDs.
