I tried this last night and it didn't work for me. I never make it to my desktop (it reboots while trying to load Windows). I did it with 100 Ohm resistors, is that a problem?

I know you mentioned 50-150ohm, and maybe it was mentioned before, but the post says 78ohm resistors, and, the resistors you are using in the screenshots are 47ohm?

Yellow-Purple-Black Gold
47ohm +-5%

Just thought it was funny, maybe my electronic color code knowledge is rusty hehe

No I think it's awesome you know resistor banding codes.

But they work fine. All it does is provide a "clue" that a monitor is plugged in. I do not think that it has to be close at all to the exact resistance.

What I did was grab a DVI-to-VGA converter with an VGA cable, plugged one of the cable sides to the right DVI port (This probably doesn't matter) of my 2nd GTX580, and the other side with nothing connected (Hanging to the floor) and I am now Folding on both GTX580's with 98-99% usage all the time.
