TBH the squig herder is a fun class to play. But it really sucks until ~15+
Its slow, tedious and the dps is pretty subpar until upper teens. You also have to think a lot about the class, its not just a sit and press 2 for ownage class. Like I said though, it is fun.
They need to hammer out some stuff with abilities, but I'm sure all classes have at least a few things that need tweaking. Spiked squig is broken and fairly "worthless" atm. You can't have a squig out while mounted, so if you mount to go anywhere you can't just hop off your wolf and go fight. You have to hop off and wait 2 seconds to summon a squig which a decent portion of your dps. If you get knocked off your mount by another player you are pretty much dead depending on what class knocked you off. <--- This is huge for me, it makes mounted travel almost worthless.
IMO squig herders are a harassment class. Its pretty difficult (read: takes skill and a little bit of luck) to kill most of the other classes by yourself. But in a group atmosphere you are small and kinda blend in with all the other "large/tall" classes so no one seems to target you and you can put some decent damage down on light/cloth classes. Horned squig can really aggravate wizards/healers and make casting pretty difficult.
disclaimer: this is just my opinion, I'm sure someone will find some way to flame me for it Edited by astraelraen - 9/30/08 at 7:00am
