In case anyone is interested, the OCZ 2x2 GB PC2-8500 Reaper kits use Powerchip IC's.

The 2x1 Gb kits. there are no 2x2 gb kits from any vendors currently using micron D9's.

Thanks for the confirmation, I knew most OCZ's were Powerchip's from a review I read. Most reapers are Powerchip's and others like Titanium's etc. Mine's Powerchip. It isn't known to be a good overclocker but isn't bad..
I'm at 445Mhz at stock timings (4-4-4-15). Which is decent enough. I'll be getting the Kingston HyperX's (4x1GB Kit) that have Elpida IC's, as soon as it's back in stock in newegg; and then go crazy =)

Thankyou very much for posting the pics; always good to have proof of things.

There is Micron in 2x2 GB kits btw...just nothing very good
D9JKH is what Crucial seems to be using in their 2x2 GB kits.

It's not bad for clocking, though i'd rather have Powerchips myself.

Other than D9JKH, all the 1 Gb IC (what's used in 2 GB DIMMs) Micron is indeed crap for clocking though.

Ah. Well no access to Micron here in Canada and Crucial kits are pretty scarce as well.

Heh, i found D9FTB on generic Crucial 2x2 GB kits that Futureshop was selling.
Of course, it clocked like crap; i posted the results here somewhere...would have to dig up the link.

D9HNL is the other common one (it's another 1 Gb IC) in 2 GB DIMMs, but it too is no good for OCing.

Both those can\\could be found in Canada & more.

Not to threadjack, but this is what r00n (the guy who does the infamous Ramlist) believes is D9JKH.

That's right; it no longer states the exact IC, but based on the official spec for D9JKH (DDR2-1066 CAS 7 1.8v, i certainly wouldn't disagree with him; if anyone would know, it's him).

If anyone is wondering, that's from a Ballistix 2x2 GB kit.
