Umm... I don't think a pentium M could take the fx 57 right now.
BTW, Apple is planning on using the new pentium M's in their intel machines.
A p-m clocked at 2.6 can beat a fx-55(and probly 57)at gameing.

I think yiffys getting one and is yiffys getting a intel it must be a good intel.

(Btw yiffy has a link to that thing where a p-m beat a fx-55)

The FX-57 is only marginally faster than the FX-55. So I wouldnt doubt that the Pentium M creams both.

Well the fastest Pentium M right now runs at 2.13 Ghz. It's not fair to compare 1 chip thats O.C. by 466 Mhz. to 1 that isn't O.C. Still I have to agree that it's a good chip and good architecture. Can someone post the link to where a Pentium M beat a FX in gaming?

I would love it if someone hacked and changed

I KNEW it. The long, long pipeline of Prescott was just heating up. When Anandtech ran an article on the Dothan, I was amazed.

If I can post a link to another forum (XS), I'd post the link. I'll play it safe for now. It shows that Dothan is faster than an FX55 per MHz, at extreme scaling.

Yea, I do totally believe that a Pentium M is faster than an FX at the same speed. It is a very efficient architecture as compared to a Presscot. I wonder how high a Dothan core can get too? Has anyone any links or info on what you can get a Dothan too on various types of cooling?
