edit: here's a better build if you really like x2's. but i strongly suggest you stick with the 22" monitor i threw in there:

https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/M...px?ID=10846488

you can swap in the e8500 for a Q6600, or shell out the extra 120 for the Q9550. only YOU know if you need a quad core or not. Duals are better for gaming because:

2 cores @ 4.0ghz > 4 cores @ 3.4ghz for now

So I can oc the 8500 to 4.0ghz without damage or overheating?
Also this will be my first oc....

yup on that board and heatsink w/ retention bracket, you should go to around 4.2 if you feel daring. Only people who cant control themselves fry their chips. Just make sure to not go above 1.36V in bios and you'll be golden.

Just add everythng in my wishlist (changing around afew stuff if you feel more comfortable)

edit: dont forget the case:
http://www.buy.com/prod/antec-p182-s...204356166.html

oh and do you have an OS? Microsoft Vista 64-bit Home Premium should do, just ebay it. Or you can go Ultimate 64-bit if your into that

Its comes to $1,595 yes I know I went over $1400

Now for a few questions.
What will be my bottleneck?
Anythying not worth the price?
Will everything work together?
Is a 2 gpu card the same or better then crossfire?
What changes would you make?
Lol someone broke the bank.

Why are they bad? Mine is excellent. Using it right now. Even if you got a bad one or something, you can't really just a whole company by one purchase.

---------

My comments on your latest revision.

Good, looks like mine lol!
Stick with the quad core at your budget range, you can afford it and will enjoy it.
Just a word to wise, the Antec 300 is a mid-tower case. I researched it and the 4870 X2 WILL fit. I have seen reports of certain larger heatsinks for the CPU requiring the top exhaust fan to be removed. From what I have gathered the heatsink you are using does not suffer from that problem. If it does, with the backplate mounting kit you have included with the build, you can always just turn the heatsink a tad.

All in all excellent build. Nearly identical to what I'm getting.

Also a word to the wise, Go to the deal sections and look into that 30% ebay cash back thing.

I just bought a 4870 X2 for $390 shipped off of eBay. $550 shipped, and then I get like $160 or so cash back in 2 months.

Just putting this out there:

http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...Number=5247949

22" Monitor
e8400
Xigmatek HDT-S1283 + bolt thru + MX2
eVGA 780i SLI
SLI eVGA GTX 260
650W Corsair PSU (should be enough)
CM 690 (1200/900 etc.. is overrated IMO (loud too!))
4GB GSkill DDR2 800
500GB HDD
Everything else needed...

$1500, $1410 after MIR.

Should be good for 4GHz, SLI 260s will run anything out there for a long time, and you can always step up to 280s etc...

Same goes with motherboard, you can step that up too. (I love eVGA if you couldn't tell before)

If its too much you can switch the 780i for a 750i and switch the SLI for a GTX 280. The 4870X2 is faster than the 280, but its also $150 more, and compared to eVGA, Sapphire might as well not have customer support (they don't have much of a warranty anyway)
