I couldn't see direct die stacking working but it may do with a chiller where your some what unlimited in your Qmax.
I had a silly dream...possibly a very silly dream.....of using multiple small tec's under 30mm but biggest qmax with perhaps 4 undervolted 50mm slapped on top then a chunk of copper (or was it silver.) and a couple of 62mm....I did say silly !!!
Haven't even bothered to to look to see if the first layer of TEC's is posssible but it would be one hell of a mountain for just 100-150w pump but a max. temp delta of 100ºC might be worth considering in some cases or is that only with a four layer ? is it only 90ºC. Would make an interesting air cooler but the walls of the case would have to be massively thick....Stupid daydream ....going back to sleep....Edited by zipdogso - 3/7/09 at 5:02pm
