It's not an ambitious plan at all but I hope your planning to undervolt them otherwise it will take a lot of juice.. Depending on what wattage pump you want to end up with you could use 6 TEC's each pumping 100-115w to give you a total pump of 600-700w. To achieve this you should ideally use TEC's with a Qcmax of at least 300w. It depends on the characteristics of the TEC's you buy but you should end up with a COP of least 1.5 and you will by arranging the wiring be able to power all of them on one dedicated supply,easily
....not an ATX PSU !!!! Ideally you want a decent power supply with a large voltage variation then it will be very easy to adjust the voltage and increase the pump if you need to. Bear in mind when using a large number of TEC's collectively it only requires a very small voltage increase to improve the collective pump by quite a jump.
For instance I'm using 300w + TEC's Umax 31.5v 16A I'm only running 4 it's all I have got at the moment but I am using 16v 22A power supply I can easily run all 4 undervolted simply by arranging the wiring and the advantage of the supply is that is variable 4v - 16v plus it has a voltage meter and ammeter on the front so there is no guessing....cost about the same as meanwell but infinitely more useful...especially for undervolting.
If you were to use your a/c chilled coolant to cool the hotsides you could have a very good setup as greater cooling on the hotside will allow you to get a low temp delta with greater efficiency and will also improve the undervolted pump to a small degree.Edited by zipdogso - 4/10/09 at 4:41pm
