EDIT: Sorry guys but the facility I use called me today (October 17th, 2011) and announced that due to their heavy work load from large contracts they will have a wait time of 5-6 weeks for small contracts. If you are willing to wait that long I will accept your order. Otherwise I suggest you check out FTW PC here in the Vendor Forum and see what they can do for you.
Back to the original thread. Thanks.
Here's a decent representation of what $150 or so will get you. Just think what your case could look like in the color(s) of your choice...

This is a Lian Li PC7a Plus that got "Red Baron" Red Powdercoat. Because this is a color the coaters use for a much larger job adding a small iem like a chassis is no big deal and turn around is quick. They also do black on a regulare basis...same deal.

THis chassis was not taken apart...it was coated as is.

The coaters plug the screw holes to keep them from filling in with the paint.

I've done this with the chassis broken into parts and with it left assembled like this and you can see the paint fills in the rivets and joints nicely.

This case is for a "WaterClocker" V4 like the Silver/Blue one Syrillian owns but with black exterior panels and red accents.

With the panels and other parts in place...

This one has removable neoprene sound dampening
Just let your imagination run wild.
Sample Colors
Fancy Colors
There are literally thousands of finishes and color combinations available including metallics, bronzes, metalflake, chameleon color change, pearlescent, candy colors...and many textures from a super fine grit to lumpy bumpy and hammered, weathered bronze, etc etc. Check the color charts at www.prismaticpowders.com.
Here are some of the many vids with powdercoat I have hosted on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...yberdruid&aq=f
Even a triple coat process is less costly than an automotive grade paint job and ten times tougher. You can expect to pay between $150 and $350 depending on how many layers a particular finish takes and how much work is involved. Special colors take about an extra week because they have to be ordered. Some colors have a faster turn around depending on what the Powder Coat facility is doing that week. In general it is about a ten day turn around.
Flat rate fee works like this: In stock color one coat finish: $150. This excludes shipping costs but includes my labor to take the case apart and reassemble the case. Add $75 for each additional color or coat per order for in stock colors. Example: Hawaiin Blue requires a Super Chrome base and an optional Clear topcoat. All three coats would run you $300 plus the cost to special order the powder. In this case the Super Chrome and the Clear are in stock so only the Blue needs to be ordered.
I can find out the availability and cost for any finish you might want. Just PM.
One matter to consider is that if the chassis and/or panels are SEC and have to be stripped to bare metal is $45 per hour charge in one hour increments. A Galvalume finish like in the CoolerMaster Cosmos cases does not need stripping...it's just painted surfaces. Anodized finishes do not need to be stripped. Only metal parts can be coated.
PM for a quote regarding this service.
And finally note that many of the more popular finishes are in stock and only require one coat: like Cascade black I put on the Cosmos or Raven black (which has a fine texture) I put on the Lian Li B10 and Havegooda's Rocket Fish or the Red Baron Red I put on the case depicted above.
Post here if you have questions about powdercoat and I will try to answer them.
