Much better, eh?
Yeah right.

Everyone talks big, yet they still play their games for the most part. Bought or otherwise.

Me? I don't give a damn. Why? Because generally the games that have it are good anyway and I'd rather support them making more good games like Mass Effect or Spore instead of giving them negative input like pirating the game to be "rebel". While I doubt the numbers look like that, I'll bet they're EASILY over 90%.

Call them noobs if you like, the FACT is that most people (yeah, that means people that don't inhabit forums such as this) still enjoy playing video games for the sake of the game, not the sake of complaining about the graphics or DRM.

I could have sworn that back in the day elite gamers were actually nice people that helped others become better at games. Now it seems you aren't elite unless you whine and complain about every little thing.

First off, I dont think this is about weather or not games like Spore or Mass Effect are good / great games. Its about weather or not the DRM that accompanies them is fair.

I agree that most "elite" gamers on the net now [in games like CS:S, TF2, and WoW] are all whiners who cry if they get beat, but because they generally dont, they're just all around *******s. But its beside the point. EA is posting lies about weather or not we care about DRM, not weather or not we buy the games while grumbling about the DRM.

can we read the topic / article before posting?

*sigh*

You know what, I actually had a couple paragraphs written here but decided to remove them. If you can't see that my previous post was very clearly on topic then why even bother. You've made up your mind already, and most people that post in this thread will be of the sort to agree with you.

Rock on.

(I meant whining about DRM, not whining about getting beat.)

imo, those of you who dont stand up for your rights as a consumer are the ones who deserve to get manhandled my DRM like what spore introduced. I never said the games were bad, or that the devs dont deserve the money the charge for the games. However, I can, and rightfully will, complain about something like this.

Where do we draw the line? When will DRM literally make us just rent a game for $50-$60? Spore and Mass Effect DRM were the opening gates to something much worse, and if you just sit by and let them treat a legit user like a criminal because "its not a headach.e, Eventually, they'll take it a step further and further until they need you to do something like call a representative, answer some security questions you set up earlier, and let them know you wish to play your game before the .exe will run.

Look out, Big Brother is watching.

I really don't care about DRM... personally, I can always find ways around it.. So it doesn't bother me.
Just to clarify, the title of this thread is misleading as the article sourse says "EA says 99.8% of gamers don’t care about Spore DRM." That's a big difference than saying DRM in general. We're talking about a single game here, one that is likely not played by all gamers (or even most gamers IMHO).
