good idea Ira-k
im dying to know how much i do my cpu blots up .. cause these numbers doesn't sound like much. You could be totally right that you dont need the pressure applying bolts if you can just apply the pressure to the MBM.
I was always under the impression that a TEC needed heaps of pressure but this doesn't seem to be the case. This is the reason why i started this post cause i want to know for sure not let it turn into another TEC myth
You have to remember to use a little 1/8" of so piece of neoprene between the back-plate and mobo to cushion it a little..The back-plate being over-sized like it is helps to spread the pressure out over more of the back of the mobo..
I use them for plain WC'ing to, you can get some really nice hard mounts safely like that...I still use some really stiff springs and just bottom them out, instead of a real hard mount with no springs, I was breaking and stripping out bolts to much with-out the springs, well I bending my brass mounts to..
EDIT: Ooops, a 150 inch pounds is only 12.5 foot pounds..
