i like those 1200x960 results, i game at 1280x1024 and the 8800GTS did quite well on the lower charts.

i own a 1680x1050 monitor... Its perfect for gaming its a little more wide which in gaming makes the view perfect.. I like to be able to look more around than people with 16x12 screens

The 8800GTX did really well at those settings. I am extremely happy. Can't wait to pick it up later today.

EDIT: Just noticed they didn't use VSync for the benchmarks. Why? Doesn't VSync reduce screen tearing?

No.

For some antiquated reason review outlets still think people given any sort of damn about 4:3 monitors when >75% of games have moved on to greener, better pastures that is Widescreen.

Thankfully the 1600x1200 is a very good resolution to see how a 1680x1050 monitor will do.

For some unknown reason reviews do every resolution in wide screen except for the 1600x1200. It makes little sense.

Yup, 1680x1050 is ~92% the size of a 1600x1200, so their performance will be just a little better.

This review = durr

1600x1200, no HD 4870 1gb to compare to the GTX 260, and see what the memory has to do with the performance.

yeah like you said iandh, it doesn't make sense to not test out a 4870 1g, but i would expect it to be up there with the gtx 260 above the core 192 and maybe above the core 216. like they said though, any new card should run this game well, and i'm really pleased to hear that.

The 8800GT does really well in these benchmarks;
I was originally doubting getting this game for pc and just get on my 360,
But even when i get my 20" Samsung, the game will still run smooth!
Nice post OP Rep+
