Finally convinced myself to pull the trigger tonight! Hooray! First new build in over four years. I think this is going to be one hella upgrade from the old-n-busted stuff I'm using now.
666 - For what its worth, I went with the Asus P6T Deluxe. I couldn't find a single negative review, apart from not being able to do tri-SLI/CrossFire because of the board layout. The Intel board didn't get as high marks, and I couldn't really find much on the GigaByte board.

Despite a lot of people passing on these chips, all I know is my 4-year old aging Pentium 4 540 needs to be retired and it's time for an upgrade.
