I played through the demo for about 3 hours with my roommate on my Xbox (done with PC gaming), and it's amazing.

Screaming and yelling directions and orders to each other in the dark while blazing away at massive hordes of infected is more fun than I could imagine.

Seriously, why though? I know PCs can be a pain sometimes, but at least with a PC you won't get any RRODs...

And plus, this is a Valve game we're talking about.
You are going to miss out on soooo much user-created content....

There's some sacrifice, yes. But in exchange for slightly more sluggish controls and no mods, I get:

Extremely pretty games with a single $300 purchase
A system that always works when I want it to (My PC's had far more hardware problems than my 360, no RROD here)
The ability to play on live, and most importantly to me with this game...

the ability to play with my roommates in my room. It amplifies the expreience, makes it much more scary, much more intense, and a ton more fun. If I get my PC working right, I will undoubtedly pick it up for PC down the road, but at least for now, I'm 360-only.

Edit: WIggsy, I love the music in the video. Woo cash.

You wont get THIS on your x360 though

I've read about so many idea for levels, and some mor coming to fruition for this game. Custom levels and unlockable content for the PC version will be un-matched. It's gonna be excellent.

Also, for the PC, i found this:

Didn't see anyone post this, and it looks like this is what you are looking for TiCK. Rebind to taste:

Code:
bind "uparrow""vocalize PlayerMoveOn"// Voice Comm: Let's Go!
bind "rightarrow""vocalize PlayerLeadOn"// Voice Comm: You take the lead!
bind "leftarrow""vocalize PlayerHurryUp"// Voice Comm: Hurry!
bind "5""vocalize PlayerNiceJob"// Voice Comm: Nice Job!
bind "downarrow""vocalize PlayerWaitHere"// Voice Comm: Wait here!
bind "3""vocalize PlayerAreaClear"// Voice Comm: Clear!
bind "6""vocalize PlayerCoverMe"// Voice Comm: Cover Me!
bind "7""vocalize PlayerImWithYou"// Voice Comm: I'm with you!
bind "2""vocalize PlayerAskReady"// Voice Comm: Ready?
bind "8""vocalize PlayerLaugh"// Voice Comm: laugh
bind "1""vocalize PlayerWarnCareful"// Voice Comm: Be Careful
bind "9""vocalize PlayerNegative"// Voice Comm: Negative.
bind ",""vocalize PlayerNo"// Voice Comm: No.
bind "1""vocalize PlayerSorry"// Voice Comm: Sorry.
bind ".""vocalize PlayerYes"// Voice Comm: Yes.
bind "0""vocalize PlayerHurrah"// Voice Comm: Hurrah!
bind "4" "vocalize PlayerThanks"// Voice Comm: Thank you.
Re-binds the speech functions (x/z + mouse move) to the numpad keys. Or any you fancy altering them to.

About to test them out now.

edit - Yep, does work, but i think you'll have to do them one by one, and write them in like this;

Code:
bind uparrow vocalize PlayerMoveOn

Ace.

You mean the ability to pay $60 a year for online play, which has been free on PC forever? As for being in the same room, L4D has split screen play on the PC. but, even without that, I find playing with my friends (and using teamspeak) is just as fun as being in the same room.

Not only that, but a PC will always have an advantage over consoles for FPS games. Keyboard and mouse. I never could play an FPS nearly as well with a gamepad:swearing: as I could with the good old ASWD and mouse. FPS have and always will be better on the PC.

guys this is the official L4D thread, dont taint it with system war crap please. it would be awesome if they somehow set up the multiplayer so PC and Xbox360 players could play on the same servers, but there would be no competition.

keyboard + mouse will always win over a gamepad, no matter how good you are. the best vs the best, k + m will win.

and i agree that while it is fun to have your mates play with you in the same room, its just as fun, if not more so, to be at your own computer, headphones on, zoned out from the world, and speaking to your mates over a mic via teamspeak. you get more into it that way.
