very true I would probably do that but i know im not pushing this chip past 5Ghz well maybe a little
tha backplate worked great nice hard mount its on there and has been proofed I really didnt like proofing this board its extremly hard to place everything and then I could cover the are where the mosfets were going and soo much to watch out for I didnt like it
but I got er done all the block are on the MB(Mosfets, NB/SB ultimate Stinger) yup thats what I am naming my baby ULTIMATE STINGER!!!
was way too tired yesterday to do anything so just stopped there im gonna get ALOT more done since I have this weekend before we leave for vacation (on monday) so im not in bad shape just gotta get EVERYTHING other than putting the mobo tray in done on the case so I can slide the tray in plug everything in and route the tubing and then all I got is wire managment which will be a BIATCH!
but it will be all worth it or atleast thats what I keep telling my self
Hey I told you high head pumps give me that warm fuzzy feeling..
..I wasn't kidding..
I was running mine at a 505x9 for a 24/7, but I could run it at a 470 or 480x10 just as easily for a daily, I just like that 500Fsb when I can get it.Anything over a 5300Mhz I really start having to pump the v-core to her.
Proofing can be a pain in the neck, that NB TEC proofing I did 3 or 4 times before I felt good about it, then I fried my 437W CPU and had to use the 12vdc PSU for the 320W on my chip, so I had to scrape off all that proofing and put the Swifty HSF back on it..
..I'll get a TEC on it someday, right now I'm just sick of it..Thats a lot of work to just scrape back off..
Hey to be safe you have to take some pains with them..
..Better safe then sorry, I might kill my stuff with voltage but I've never killed it with water or condensation, knock on wood...
Thats a good name for her "Ultimate Stinger" kind of has a ring to it..
..fstfrddy named MOAB, he said it meant "The mother of all barbs" he was having problems getting that big barb in so it wouldn't leak, I often wonder if he didn't mean something else besides "barb"..
Hey I hope you can get her fired up before your vacation, but don't rush it now, take your time and be careful with it, that big 437W puts out some major heat and condensation, its a whole different game then the 226W is.
