lol go figure, I didn't even notice those! The TEC they include with either doesn't look too good though.
And you know I just realized - if you add up all the pelts needed for the whole system - 437W on the CPU and 2*188 on the GPUs - that's 813W. Add in the rest of the system and you're talking about a total power draw of around 1500W (including PSU inefficiencies). Add in my 180W monitor and the 300W speakers I'm gonna have soon and that's a total of an 18A load on the outlet....and my breaker is only for 20A LOL. I'd have to run extension cords from another room just to use my PC without burning down the house
Seriously though, 18A is pretty unreal for any "home" electronics. Every hour that PC is at full load its gonna add 2kWh to the electric bill, haha!
So yeah, I dunno about TECing the GPUs as well, its kind of excessive - especially since I upgrade them every 2 years or so anyway.
And think of all the heat you have to dissipate to, I put a 10,000 BTU window AC in the wall to blow over my mobo, plus it helps cool the room off, even with central AC it was getting really hot in here in the Summer before I put the window unit in to..
I know I'm spending easily $30+ a month for electricity to cool and run my chip....Add a couple of GPU's to that and it would just get insane..
